When the person was walking her dog past the two-story house, she noticed something out of the corner of her eye. A small column of black smoke pouring out a ground-level window. His heart raced immediately and he began looking around. There was no one else. Only he knew it. He screamed "fire, fire" until he could no longer yell. No lights, no dogs barking
nothing, but deadly silence. Finally, he ran up to the front door and started pounding on it. No response and the smoke was getting worse. He saw open flames now coming out of the window. As a result, he picked up a potted plant and hurled it through a window and jumped in. He looked around and saw no one, then instinctively ran upstairs where he kicked all the bedroom doors open and rescued the family. He was a hero but he had risked his own life in the process. He had some minor cuts and bruises but would survive, along with every living person in that house.
This is a true story, many times over (I found 11 and stopped there). There is a great fire coming. And many in our own neighborhoods may have never even heard of it, just like those living upstairs. Paul said that they can not know it if they have not heard it. And by whom can they hear it if not from us?? We know that God doesnt want anyone to perish so we must be bold at times (II Pet. 3:9, I King 8:60).
Personal Testimony
The greatest witnessing tool by far is that of personal testimony. To witness, in the Greek means "to provide evidence for". Under this umbrella of evidence are testimonies, experiencing the actual events and direct, personal knowledge of someone else. We are to shine so they see Him, but it says let it shine, not make it shine. Too much light hurts the eyes but dont hide it. I have never seen a dove attack (Col 4:5, Matthew 10:16). There is comfort in your testimony to others. Especially if we are honest and tell them what God called us out from (I was like an anti-saint believe me
you can not imagine). Jesus only saves (Acts 4:12) and it is complete. Even I can not mess it up (John 10:28-29).
Gods Word
This is better than any money-back guarantee. Gods word will never return void or without results (Isaiah. 55:11). Jesus describes it as sowing seed (Mark. 4:14-20). And His word is the most fertile of all. There is hope, justification, eternal life in these words
they are the words of life. Memorizing scripture is very effective (used during testimony) for each particular situation. The person may feel that they are not worthy or that they could never be good enough but you can tell them when you accept Christ, it doesnt matter how you feel or what you did, its what He did (John 3:16-17, 10:28-29)!
Just Do It
Jesus said that all His authority had been given to us to ensure that this Gospel will be preached (Matthew. 28:18, Acts 1:8, 22:15). He gave us a direct order! This is not a Hint From Heloise! He will give us courage and boldness if we ask Him (Matthew. 10:19-20). Depending upon the situation, why not ask them right there on the spot, if they want to accept Jesus as their Savior. Tell them today, even right now, can be their day of salvation (II Cor. 6:1-2). We must at least try. It should grieve our souls knowing that family members, friends, neighbors and strangers may miss out on eternal life and not hear the warning
"fire, fire!".
